NoRush feature
Meeting Mode keeps your tasks private on calls
A personal task list on a shared screen is embarrassing, and a pop-up in the middle of a call breaks focus for everyone. NoRush notices the call and asks.
In short
When you open a video call, a small card asks "Meeting starting?". Turn Meeting Mode on and the bubble, notifications, badge, tab titles and task screens all go quiet. New tabs show only a clock, the weather and a slider. Timers and progress keep running.

Why it asks you, instead of waiting for you
Remembering to switch something off before a meeting is exactly the kind of task that slips with ADHD. So NoRush uses the same idea as its reminders, in reverse: it acts at the moment and place where it matters.1
Quiet matters too. Simply receiving a notification, without even looking at it, was enough to hurt performance on an attention task in one study.2 During a call that cost is shared with everyone listening to you.
How it works in NoRush
- It recognizes real calls. Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Whereby, Jitsi, GoTo Meeting, Slack huddles, Amazon Chime, Zoho Meeting, BlueJeans, Skype, Around, Gather and Riverside, plus any meeting link you add. It reacts to the call itself, not the app's home page.
- One tap, or remembered. "Remember this choice" turns it on by itself next time, or stops asking.
- Nothing to leak. No task names, counts, rewards, stats or timers are shown, and there is no message saying tasks are hidden.
- Nothing lost. Timers and task progress keep going. The command bar still works, to write something down for later.
- Hard to flip by accident. It is a slide, not a tap. When the call tab closes, NoRush asks "Meeting over?".
Getting the most from it
- Tick "Remember this choice" once. After that you never have to think about it.
- Use Alt+K during a meeting to save an action item without showing your list.
- Add your company's own meeting link in Settings if it uses a custom address.
What it does not do
Meeting Mode hides NoRush. It does not hide other tabs, apps or notifications on your computer. The weather on the meeting screen is optional and only appears if you set a city.
Who uses it most
Software developers, Remote workers, Entrepreneurs, Designers, Managers. Each of those pages shows where meeting Mode fits into a working day.
