Editorial policy
How we write and check what you read here
ADHD is a health topic, and people make real decisions based on what they read. These are the rules we hold our pages to.
Who writes
Guides on this site are written by Yasoob, who has ADHD and builds NoRush. That is lived experience and product knowledge. It is not clinical training. We are not doctors, psychologists or therapists, and we say so on the pages where it matters.
Where our facts come from
- Peer-reviewed research first. We prefer systematic reviews and meta-analyses, then randomized trials, then individual studies.
- Official bodies. The CDC and the National Institute of Mental Health for facts about ADHD in the United States.
- Recognized experts and organizations, such as Russell Barkley and CHADD, for clinical principles.
- Every source is checked. Before a page is published, each citation is looked up on PubMed or Crossref to confirm the paper exists and says what we say it says.
- Every claim links to its source. Numbered links in the text lead to a source list at the bottom of the page.
When the evidence is thin
A lot of popular ADHD advice has little or no research behind it. When that is the case we say so in plain words, for example on our pages about brown noise and the Pomodoro Technique. We would rather tell you "nobody has tested this" than borrow confidence we do not have.
How we write about NoRush
- We disclose it. We make NoRush. Any page that mentions it says so or makes it obvious.
- Advice comes first. Guides give strategies that work with paper and a kitchen timer before they mention our product.
- We state the limits. Feature pages and role pages include what NoRush does not do and who it is not for.
- No clinical claims. NoRush has not been tested in a clinical study. We never say it treats, cures or diagnoses anything.
How we write about other products
Facts about other tools come from their own websites and are dated. We say what each one does well and who should choose it over NoRush. If we get something wrong about your product, tell us and we will fix it.
What you will not find here
- Invented testimonials, star ratings or user counts.
- Pages written only to rank in search, with nothing useful in them.
- Affiliate links. We are not paid to recommend any product.
Tools we use to write
We use AI tools to help draft and edit. A person reads every page, and every source is verified against the published record, before anything goes live.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We revise pages when research changes or a product changes. If you find an error, write to support@getnorush.com. We correct mistakes quickly and note significant corrections on the page.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice. If ADHD is affecting your work, health or relationships, please talk to a doctor or a licensed therapist. In the United States, CHADD and ADDA can help you find support.
