NoRush

About

NoRush was built by someone who needed it

A small, calm task manager for people with ADHD, made by a founder who has ADHD.

I have ADHD, and I built NoRush for myself first. The rule I kept coming back to was simple: if something does not help with the task in front of you, it should not be on the screen.

Yasoob, founder of NoRush

Why NoRush exists

Most task managers are built on one assumption: if you can see a list of what you need to do, you will do it. For a lot of people with ADHD, that is not how it goes. The list gets longer, opening it starts to feel bad, and after a while it does not get opened at all.

NoRush starts from a different idea, taken from the research on ADHD: the difficulty is rarely knowing what to do. It is doing it, at the moment it counts.1 So NoRush does not try to be a better list. It tries to put one task in front of you, where you are already working, with time you can see and words that do not make you feel worse.

What we believe

  • One thing at a time. A long list freezes people. Showing less is a feature.
  • Always in view. A reminder you have to go and find is not a reminder.
  • Small steps. Any task can be made small enough to start.
  • Kind words. Shame makes people avoid the tools that could help them. NoRush never uses red, never says "overdue", and never takes away anything you have earned.
  • Calm. Soft colors, slow motion, nothing that flashes or bounces, and sound only if you ask for it.

What we will not do

  • No ads, analytics or tracking in the extension, and none on this website.
  • No selling or sharing your data.
  • No pressure tactics. No fake countdowns, no "only 3 left", no guilt when you cancel.
  • No fake reviews or made-up numbers. You will not find invented testimonials or user counts on this site.
  • No medical claims. NoRush is a productivity tool. It does not diagnose or treat ADHD.

What we are, and what we are not

NoRush is made by someone with lived experience of ADHD, not by a doctor or a psychologist. We read the published research, cite it on every page, and build from it. The reasoning behind each design decision is on the research page, with its sources. How we write and check our guides is in the editorial policy.

NoRush has not been tested in a clinical study, and we do not claim that it has.

Who is behind it

NoRush is made by Cretivo Technologies. It is a small, independent product. It is paid for by the people who use it, which is why there are no ads.
